Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Honeyed Words Author Tracker (“we”, “our”, “us”) handles your information when you use our Google Workspace add-on (“the Add-on”).

1. Information We Access

Google Docs & Google Sheets: The Add-on accesses your Google Docs and, if configured, Google Sheets solely to provide word count tracking, analytics, and productivity features.
Account Information: The Add-on may access your Google account email address to personalize your experience and maintain your settings.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

No External Data Transmission: Your writing content, tracking data, and personal information are never sent to external servers. All processing and storage happen within your own Google account.
No Third-Party Sharing: We do not share your data with any third parties.
No Advertising or Analytics Tracking: This Add-on does not include any advertising, analytics, or user tracking scripts.

3. How Your Data Is Used

Personalization & Functionality: Your document word counts and session history are used solely to provide you with productivity tools and personalized analytics.
Settings & Preferences: Your preferences (such as theme, goals, and reminders) are stored using Google’s built-in Apps Script PropertiesService, tied to your account.

4. Data Security

Google Account Boundaries: All data remains within your Google Workspace account and is governed by Google’s security and privacy controls.
No Manual Data Review: We do not have access to, or manually review, your writing, session data, or settings.

5. Data Retention & Removal

User-Controlled: All data is stored in your Google Sheets and Google account properties. Uninstalling the Add-on or deleting the linked Google Sheet will remove your tracked data.
No External Backups: We do not keep independent backups of your information.
